Welcome to my blog. It's a thrill to have this opportunity to reach out to you in an informal manner. Actually, everything I get to do at M&F as senior science editor is a thrill!  Hopefully you guys have enjoyed reading my work over the years as much as I have enjoyed creating it. Based on the letters and emails I receive every day it appears that I am hitting the mark. Please continue to reach out to me and let me know whether you've enjoyed a particular article or if there's something you wish I would address.

A blog about lifting, about sports, about nutrition, maybe the occasional supplement or fitness gadget. If (I mean when) the Cubs flounder in September or October, I'll probably write about that too. I apologize in advance.

I'm honored to have a blog here at M&F (hell, I'm even honored to be in the building). The object of the game here is to try my best to tell the truth about sports, lifting, and whatever else I feel like railing about here.

I've been a lot of things in my life. In context here, I've been an athlete, a coach (yes, an actual TEAM coach) and a trainer. Now I'm a writer. Who knew?

Mike Tricep.jpgThis blog will be dedicated to educate, motivate and inspire. Check for random information specific to training, opinion and facts and get a real sense of what it is like to be behind the scenes and pages of Muscle & Fitness. I am known as the chameleon around the office walls that have been built by the man Himself Joe Weider. With being apart of the operations, and decisions that are Muscleandfitness.com, we have one philosophy, "Bring the Magazine to Life" online. It is a privilege to be in an institution that is filled with people as like minded as Joe and to be responsible in bringing the philosophies that are M&F to you the readers and users in the best way possible. We live Training and Nutrition. They are our jobs, they are our lives. We take great honor and pride to make sure that we carry on the tradition that is the M&F brand. Give me feedback and I'm always up for opinions, good or bad. The best in Health. MM

My Blogs and VLogs will be about training, science, and blowin' stuff up. The latter of course, being something that I am doing just for fun. Typically you will find me doing something related to sport, health, and fitness, so fire your questions off and I will see if I can answer them. Fortunately, as you can see by great professionals assembled here, someone can help you find your answers! Train Hard, Play Hard, Love Life!

The blog by the average guy.....that's what this is and that's who I am. I'm not an expert in supplementation, nutrition nor training. This blog is from the perspective of an avid Muscle&Fitness reader (me) who just wants to put the articles in the magazine to the test and see if it helps bring me closer to my own fitness goals. You can consider me the in-house "lab rat" that will try any new workout or regimine and then give you my honest, unbiased and humble opinion. I'm always up for new suggestions on routines to try so please feel free to add your comments or questions. - James "Lab Rat' Grage
