The blog by the average guy.....that's what this is and that's who I am. I'm not an expert in supplementation, nutrition nor training. This blog is from the perspective of an avid Muscle&Fitness reader (me) who just wants to put the articles in the magazine to the test and see if it helps bring me closer to my own fitness goals. You can consider me the in-house "lab rat" that will try any new workout or regimine and then give you my honest, unbiased and humble opinion. I'm always up for new suggestions on routines to try so please feel free to add your comments or questions. - James "Lab Rat' Grage
Supplements for "Show Time" Program
It's Saturday and I am trying to get myself prepped to start the "Show Time" program this Monday. I will be utilizing a complete 4-week plan that includes a training regimine, nutrition plan and supplement program. On Friday I received an email from Dr. Jim Stoppani, host of the M&F RAW video series and the Senior Science Editor for Muscle&Fitness magazine. In the email Dr Stoppani sent me a spreadsheet of the supplements that I should take during the next 4-weeks to maximize my fat-loss and lean-muscle gain. I thought I would share that information with you here....
Showtime Fat Loss Supplements:
BASIC SUPPS:
Be sure to take the following supplements on this plan (in addition to your preworkout and postworkout shakes) to enhance fat loss and muscle gains.

Fish Oil - 2g with breakfast; lunch; dinner
CLA - 2-3 g with breakfast; lunch; dinner
Carnitine - 1.5 - 3 grams with breakfast; preworkout shake; and postworkout shake
REV IT UP SUPPS:
To really rev up your fat burning, add the following supps as well. These stimulant supps are not recommended for those with pre-existing heart conditions.
Caffeine - 100-300 mg first thing in the morning; 30-60 minutes before workouts.
Synephrine - 5-20 mg before breakfast; before lunch; and 30-60 minutes before workouts.

good luck dude..thats 1 hell of a training routine you chose..are you gonna be puttin up videos thrr the whole 4 weeks of the program?
Thanks....I think I'll need the good luck. I'm actually looking forward to it though. It's cool having the combination of the training, diet and supplement regimine to follow. I'll be putting up at least one video a week during the four weeks. The first one I think I'll post everything including "before" pics to compare progress over the 4 weeks. I'll get some of the training in there as well.
Hey
I Would like to wish you luck and your doing a good job thinking the readers and giving us your honest opinion about all the workouts and can tell me the 4-week program because i would like to get lean.

Hey Jasuan. I appreciate the feedback. You can find the workout in the July issue of M&F magazine but you can also download it from Muscle&FitnessTrainer.com. You can also find the nutrition program on www.muscleandfitness.com under the "nutrition" tab. Search for "show time diet". - James "Lab Rat" Grage
Jason,
Did you feel that those supplements worked for you? I actually just started this workout yesterday and was considering ordering the "rev it up" stack that you mentioned above. Just wanted to get your thoughts on if you had side effects or felt any positive effects.
Thanks
