I first saw benching like this using the M&F Trainer and my chest had never grown so much nor become so dense! I'm a big fan of your blogs and tips on trainer and I use bands combined with free weights on most of my exercises. With learning from you, Dr. Stoppani and M&F, I've reached goals that I've had for a long time. One question: When benching 185lbs with one orange band attached, how much weight is at the bottom and top of the rep? THANKS!
Robert,
Thanks for the props. Thats AWESOME that you are seeing results. See, we dont push methods that are not proven to work. Just make sure that you follow the program from the M&F Trainer as all of them have the bands used in a specific order so you dont plateau. thats the idea. Using them all the time with every exercise has its draw backs...the body will adapt, thats why you mix it all in, and the workout programs are designed to keep you on your toes. good luck and thanks for the feedback.
to answer your question about the bands and how much weight,,,the real answer is ..."it vaires" depends on a lot of variables, however with that amount your looking at about 225-230 at the top, and around 190- 200 at the bottom. Remember the key here is to execute the reps with more speed than you would with just free weight alone. Try lowering the free weight to about 135 and strap up 2 orange bands...
